The Witch’s Pyramid
The Witch’s Pyramid is the foundation upon which all Magickal workings are based. It includes four “pillars” or key concepts and it is sometimes also called The Four Powers of the Magus or The Four Secrets of the Sphinx. The four concepts are:
To Know
To Dare
To Will
To Be Silent
They mean the following: TO KNOW means that you will strive to gather as much knowledge as possible in this lifetime by experiencing as much as you can, by reading as much as you can, by thinking, by discussing with others, and being open to new ideas, and it means that you will apply the knowledge you acquire to your daily life. It also means that you will seek the truth in all things and be willing to change your perceptions to meet your awakening spirituality.
TO DARE means that you will push fear behind you and be courageous and proactive in all you do. You will believe in The Universe and yourself and your own abilities. It means you will dare to take action to change your circumstances. It means you will have to take risks, push your boundaries, and challenge yourself. You will dare to go beyond what you are already familiar with, and beyond who you are today in order to make a better tomorrow for yourself and your loved ones.
TO WILL means that you won’t sit back and let life pass you by- you will work toward your dreams and practice meditation and visualization to reach them. You will meet obstacles but find positive solutions to overcome them. Your own Will is your most powerful tool. Your desire might begin it, but your Will is what makes it happen. By focusing your willpower you direct your determination to act upon your environment, your circumstances, and your life. Your will is what drives your desire to improve and excel. It is the key to your success.
TO BE SILENT means that you will keep quiet about your Magick and Spellwork once you’ve cast it. The belief is that to speak about the Magick or Spellwork you do, is to draw power away from it before it has the chance to manifest. It also means that you will think before you speak and that you won’t give good information to bad people. You will not blab to other people about what happened in a ritual circle or who is or isn’t a Witch. You will not gossip about other group members, or harm other people intentionally through your words.
TO GO is not a part of the Witch’s Pyramid, but rather the whole of it. It means you will try to master all of the Four Pillars: To Know, To Dare, To Will, and To Be Silent. It means you will use these concepts in a positive way to help yourself and others.
If we start at the black dot on the Pentacle above, and move up from To Know to To Dare, from To Dare across to To Will, from To Will down and right to To Be Silent, and up from To Be Silent to To Go and then back down to the black dot at To Know, we have worked through all the Four Concepts before moving up to Spirit.

WITCH’S PYRAMID MEDITATION
Study the above diagram. Then close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths. In your mind, begin at To Know. Let your mind wander…what do you see? How do you feel? To Know represents the element of Air. Breathe slowly in and out. Ask for Wisdom and it shall be given.
Now move to To Dare. This is the element of Water. Is there something you are afraid of? Cleanse it from your mind. Open your heart to Transformation. Feel the universal love.
Take a deep breath and travel over to the To Will part of the Star. This is the element of Fire. What courage do you feel you need right now? Are you using your creativity to your best advantage. Fire also purifies. Let any negativity within you turn to ash and drift away…
Take another deep breath, and move on to the To Be Silent point. What does this mean to you? Touch the still point of the Universe, where everything is one, where everything is at total peace and harmony. In Silence you will find Truth.
Now move up to Spirit- the To Go part of the Star. Reach out and touch Deity with your mind. What are you trying to manifest in your life? What are your goals? Visualize them.
Next, travel back down to To Know. As your mind moves down to this point, imagine that Spirit has granted your wishes and that they are now moving toward you in material place. Will you be able to recognize these gifts when they materialize? Believe that you deserve what you have asked for.
Have faith that what you’ve asked for will be brought to you. Know that Spirit has granted your request. Feel the certainty deep inside your heart. Take a deep breath and let go of your visualization. Count from one to five and open your eyes.
FORMULA FOR SUCCESS
1.I Let Go (and do that in your mind)
2.I Am (and connect with Deity)
3.I Conceive (and visualize the desire)
4.I Accept (and welcome success)
5.I Know (and bring that nanosecond of certainty into your mind)
6.I Believe (and say it like you mean it)
7.So Mote It Be (a confirmation that it will be so)
AND SAY THANK YOU!!!
Quick Facts
•Witchcraft does not require any special skills, talents, or supernatural powers. It is actually based on the most natural thing in the world: you energy and will, as well as the energy of every other thing on the planet and in the heavens.
•There is no need to be initiated or trained by an elder; instead, you can create your own system based on your beliefs, knowledge, and experience.
•You intuition is one of the most important tools you have. Follow it, and it will guide you well on your magickal path.
Some Types of Magick
Folk Magick- old superstitions and folk practices, and continues to have power today, such as burying a statue of St. Joseph upside down in the yard to speed the sale of a house.
Natural Magick- the use of herbs, stones, and candles to direct energy. Natural magick also incorporates the moon, sun, and planets.
Ceremonial Magick- performing rituals, using specific props and speaking elaborate words; it is often called High Magick.
Sympathetic Magick- the use of objects that represent your desired outcome; for example, turning on the shower to make it rain.
Four Rules for Magick
1.Do not cast a spell on another person without their permission.
2.Do not cast a spell to harm yourself or another person.
3.Do not cast a spell in haste.
4.Do not cast a spell in anger.
*You can cast a healing spell on another person without their permission or if they are not able to give it, but always include a statement in the spell allowing the person’s Higher Spirit to reject it.
*You can cast a spell in haste for quick things like getting a parking space or protecting yourself from imminent danger or harm.
QUESTIONS TO ASK BEFORE CASTING A SPELL:
1.What are all the possible outcomes of this spell (positive and negative)?
2.Am I manipulating someone else’s free will?
3.Would I be willing to cause the outcome without a spell?
4.Is there an easier way to do this?
And keep in mind….
THE THREEFOLD LAW (AKA THE RULE OF THREE)
“Ever mind the Rule of Three, Three times what thou givest returns to thee, This lesson well, though must learn, Thee only gets what thou dost earn!”
The Threefold Law is primarily followed by Wiccan Witches. It states that anything you put out will return to you threefold. So, if you are generally a positive person, positive things will happen in your life. The Threefold Law can also take a nasty turn if you cast a manipulative spell. Think of The Threefold Law as a version of Karma- everything you do has an impact on your future self, for good or ill. Many religions have a similar concept: Treat others as you would like them to treat you. For example, Christianity has The Golden Rule.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“God is like a mirror. The mirror never changes, but everyone who looks at it sees something different.” ~Rabbi Harold Kushner
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Something everyone sometime in their life needs to realize is that for every mask of every religion there is only one face that hides behind that mask, the Creator’s. As long as the human soul has faith in something, that faith is strong enough that it doesn’t matter the practice or manner of worship, or beliefs- perception is in the eye of the beholder, but Gods hand holds all of us.
POEM FOR THE DAY
My life is but a weaving
My Goddess' tapestry.
I let Her choose the colours.
She worketh steadily.
Oftimes She worketh sorrow
And I, within my heart,
Forget She sees the pattern
While I see only part.
The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand
As threads of gold and silver
In the pattern She has planned.
Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall She unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.
With thoughtless and impatient hands
We tangle up the plans
That She has wrought
And when we cry in pain She says,
"Be quiet, child, while I
untie the knot."
