NO HOLIDAYS THIS WEEK
DEFINITION OF THE DAY: Widdershins- counterclockwise.
AFFIRMATION: Today I release the past and release the points of pain in my body by sending a message of love to those areas.
QUOTE: “All of life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied to a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.” ~Martin Luther King Jr.
THOUGHT: My spirituality is about an essential connection to something more, something beyond what I can see and know, a connection to the essence of life.
PRAYER: Enlightenment Prayer-
Mother and Father God, hear my prayer
Send to me your tender love and your powerful care
Enlighten my soul by your universal command,
mold it with unconditional love by your very hands
Send to me a Guardian angel pure and strong,
So that I have guidance to endure my whole path long
Grant to me inner light which shines from me round about,
Allow my life to become an example for those who live in spiritual doubt
Send to me universal power when my aura and I become weak,
Allow me to understand when I encounter those not yet awake
Oh Mother and Father God, I do give to you my vows,
Without you in my life I know I would be unenlightened and proud
I will remember the innocent blood, and the witches, who persevered,
And how the Blood of many brought enlightenment through the tears
I will remember unconditional love as you have remembered me, Oh Mother and Father God, I offer my life as the precious gift you seek
I will be tolerant with the zealots, and other religions too, no matter how
wrong they believe I am, they will know my soul belongs to you
Thank You Mother And Father God And So Mote It Be!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…………WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE HARDEST PART ABOUT WALKING AN “ALTERNATIVE” SPIRITUAL PATH???
SPELL: Healing Physical Pain-
Sit in a quiet place and clear your mind. Take a piece of amethyst and hold it in the hand closest to where it hurts. Imagine a soothing light collecting at your feet and draw it up so it fills every part of your body. Say:
“Bright light, shining light, Heal my hurt with all thy might.” Move the healing light and energy into the area of injury. Repeat the incantation. Add:
“So mote it be.” You should feel better soon.
MEDITATION: Body Scan for Better Health-
Our body has points that the Chinese call meridians. These points correspond to various organs and run from the top of our head down our arms and legs to our fingers and feet. When we have a point of pain in our system, we are being told that something is out of balance. The same is true in our lives. When we come to a point of pain, we are being asked to release the pain or release the past memories or beliefs that we are outgrowing. Try this exercise to help yourself release tender points. Lay down on a comfortable surface. Take three deep breaths to help you relax. Scan your body with your inner awareness, from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. When you feel a point of pain or feel tension, breathe into that place until it releases, holding the intention of it relaxing. Take your time. Don’t rush. This is especially good when you come home from work and want some transition time.
GODDESS: Hathor- Goddess of Astrology, Beauty, Enjoyment, Flowers, Happiness, Intoxication, Joy, Love, Marriage, the Moon, Motherhood, Music, Pleasure, Prosperity, Protection, Wine, and Women. Also called Queen of the West, Mistress of Heaven, Golden One, Lady of Malachite, Lady of the Sycamore, House of Horus. Wife of Horus the Elder, mother of Ahy the Sistrum Player. Often depicted as a cow-headed or cow-horned woman carrying a sistrum. Her sacred animals include the cow, dove, hippo, lion, lynx, snake, sparrow, swan, and vulture. Her sacred colors are bronze and red. Her sacred gemstones are emerald, malachite, and turquoise.
GOD: Apophis- God of Darkness, Death, Eclipses, Night, the Underworld. Titles include Great Serpent of the Tuat (underworld). He is the enemy of Ra and is often depicted as a large snake. His sacred animals include the beetle, lobster or crayfish, scorpion, serpent, and wolf.
HERB/TREE: Apple- Immortality, love, and magic are associated with the apple. Nordic myths tell of gods who kept themselves eternally young by partaking of the golden apples of Iduna, goddess of youth and spring. Welsh legend links apples and immortality, for kings and heroes were said to go after earthly death to Avalon, the paradise of apple trees. An ancient law from the Triads of Ireland demands the death penalty for anyone who falls an apple tree. As a symbol of desire and love, a golden apple was the prize won by Aphrodite, judged by Paris to be the loveliest of the Greek goddesses. The connection between love and the apple persists today in the phrase “the apple of my eye”. Cut an apple in half crossways and you see a five-pointed star- sign of health and magick.
GEMSTONE: Alexandrite- The alexandrite is a stone of Mercury. It is a variety of chrysoberyl and was discovered in the Ural region of Russia. The alexandrite is distinguished by a beautiful pleochroism of green changing to red. Since red and green are the Russian national colors, the alexandrite is considered to be of good omen in that country.
POEM OF THE DAY: You that have been here
Before time began,
Maker of water,
Air, fire & sand,
Lend to me your
Your Sacred Hand,
And fill me with your Love.
You who are both,
Female and male,
Teach me on
A larger scale,
Of your Love,
Both bright and pale,
Just as the Moon above.
I beg of Thee,
Close not your arms,
But embrace me,
From hatred and harm
To which your Earth,
It sometimes alarms,
I pray this prayer to Thee.
You teach me not,
To harm the good,
Nor harm the bad,
When I feel I should.
But at your command,
I never would,
As I know The Rule of Three.
In the morning,
Fill my heart.
And through this day,
Please do not part.
The Moon and Stars,
They are your art,
That shows your Guiding Light. In daily life,
And in my home,
I know that I,
Am not alone.
And so I Craft,
Until I'm shown,
Your Blessings in my life.
