AFFIRMATION OF THE DAY: Abundance. Today I am aware of my abundant gifts, and I honor my creativity.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: “It is better the true seeker than the hypocrite.”
THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Spirituality is who I am, who I am behind all the masks I wear in daily life, the open, vulnerable part inside me that meets life with both innocence and integrity. It is the moment when I surrender to what is and to who I am at my very core.
PRAYER OF THE DAY: To the Holy Powers that be
I humbly ask of thee
To Guide me, Inspire me, Protect me
Lead me only to the Light
For the Truth is Eternal, So Mote it be.
SOOOOOOOO….IN WHAT WAYS ARE YOU RICH THIS SEASON???
SPELL OF THE DAY:
To Attract Money-
Use a square of green cloth, filled with borage, lavender, High John the Conqueror Root, and saffron, a few crystals of rock salt, and three silver coins. Tie with gold and silver thread in eight knots.
MEDITATION OF THE DAY: To Meet the Guardians of the Watchtowers-(Do this meditation at the time of the waxing moon and only do one Guardian per day). Sit or lie comfortably, orienting yourself toward the Elemental Guardian you are seeking (North for Earth, East for Air, South for Fire, West for Water). Close your eyes and breathe deeply, listening for your breath and the noises around you. Let yourself relax, breathing slowly. Visualize yourself in a white, shimmering room. All around you it looks like brilliant sunlight on fresh snow. You are warm and comfortable. In the center of the room there is a small, white, circular table. Move to the chair closest to you and sit down, resting your hands on the table. Now say out loud, “I am here to stir the Guardian of the Watchtower of the East (or whichever one you are calling) and to learn who you are. I invite you to tell me of your mission at the Eastern Watchtower and teach me of my own mission there.” After a time, you become aware of another presence at your table. The being is bright, its form difficult to distinguish from the sparkling atmosphere around you both. It may speak to you in words or pictures or telepathically. Listen with an open mind and heart until the Watcher chooses to leave or tells you it is time to go. Think hard about your physical body and you will return there. Slowly become aware of your surroundings in the mundane world. Breathe deeply and slowly several times and think about the wisdom given to you. Repeat this process for each of the Elemental Watchers. Remember, only one per day.
GODDESS OF THE DAY: Bast- Egyptian Goddess of Animals, Childbirth, Dance, Fertility, Fire, Happiness, Intuition, Joy, Marriage, Music, Pleasure, Sex, and the Sun. Also called Mistress of Pleasure, Eye of the Sun, Lady of the East. She is the Daughter of Ra; wife of Ptah. She is most often depicted as a cat-headed woman carrying a sistrum. Her sacred animals include all lions and cats, especially the black cat. Her sacred color is red.
GOD OF THE DAY: Anubis- Egyptian God of Animals, Death, Endings, and Wisdom. Titles include Lord of the Divine Pavilion, Guardian of the Underworld, Protector and Judge of the Dead. He is the son of Nephthys and Osiris. He is most often depicted as a jackal-headed man or a crouching jackal. Sacred animals include dog, dolphin, fish and jackal. Sacred gemstones are fire opal, opal, and pearl.
HERB OF THE DAY: Angelica- has been heralded for centuries in the folklore of Scandinavian countries as a protection against almost any disease imaginable, for purifying the blood, and as a remedy for poisons. The plant is also associated with pagan festivals of early summer. As an amulet, all parts of the plant are believed to be useful in neutralizing spells and enchantments.
GEMSTONE OF THE DAY: Agate- said to protect the wearer from all hazards, make warriors strong, speakers persuasive, cure insomnia and ensure pleasant dreams, avert storms, and offer cure to almost any ailment. The red agate gives protection against spiders and scorpions. The green agate cures any ailment and it is said that if a woman drinks the water a green agate ring has been washed in, she’ll never be sterile. Gray agate is worn around the neck to prevent stiff neck and ward off colic. The brown agate is the most powerful and popular. It improves everything- from intelligence and wealth to watery eyes.
POEM OF THE DAY:
If you see the Moon at the end of the day,
A bright Full Moon is on the way.
If you see the Moon in the early dawn,
Look real quick; it will soon be gone.
