AFFIRMATION OF THE DAY: Behold! I do a new thing! I live the truth of the Universe!
QUOTE OF THE DAY: “You must do your own independent investigation of truth.”
THOUGHT OF THE DAY: The truth, in its most simple form, is an exorcist for the “spirit of the do-do”- do this, do that, do it now, do it fast. The truth allows you to just Be.
PRAYER OF THE DAY: Today, I ask that the truth be revealed to me. Truth is eternal. Truth is the essence of my soul. Truth is my connection to the divine source of all life.
Today, I welcome the presence of truth as the universal intelligence that knows exactly what I must do in every situation, under all circumstances. No matter what appears before me today, I know there is a greater truth grounded in love, power, peace, joy, and wisdom that will guide and protect me. Today, I invoke the presence of truth as the light that will cast out all thoughts of separation, limitation, and confusion. The light of truth now infuses my mind, reminding me that there is a power and a presence of the Divine that is greater than any physical problem. Today, I speak the truth. I hear the truth. I see the greater, divine truth of every situation I encounter.
The truth that is divine, eternal, all-knowing, and ever-present now frees me to live fully, completely, and abundantly. I am grateful for the truth that is now revealed to me this day. And So It Is!
SOOOOOO…WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT IS TRUE FOR YOU???
SPELL OF THE DAY: Spell for Honesty to Know the Truth-
Cast a circle outside, call the Quarters, invoke Spirit, and say this incantation:
“Blessed be to all that are here, Friends and spirits both far and near, Lend me your strength, your honesty and light, So the words ______ speaks may fly true and right. Help the man/woman I visualize here To speak with truth and honesty, not fear. Lies and dishonesty hurt those so dear, With this offering, help him/her see that so clear. So mote it be.” Leave an offering outside and say:
“Gods and Goddesses, spirits all, Thanks for your assistance and coming at my call.”
MEDITATION FOR THE DAY: Healing in Joy and Sorrow-
Walk through the years of your life, beginning with your birth. Count the years in your mind’s eye: one, two, three, four…Pay special attention to the years that hurt as you pass through them. Call aloud the number of each hurtful year. Bless the bruised and wounded years.
Breathing in…”As deep a cavern as sorrow has carved within me…”
Breathing out...”That shall be my capacity for joy.” Breathing in…”I bless the bruised and wounded years.” Breathing out…”There is no blemish.” Now travel again through the years, beginning with your birth. Count the years in your mind’s eye: one, two, three, four…This time pay special attention to the years that delight you as you pass through them. Call aloud the number of each delightful year. Celebrate the bright and comfortable years. Breathing in…”I turn toward my life with loving kindness.” Breathing out…”Blessed be my years.” Breathing in…”I celebrate the bright and comfortable years.” Breathing out…”There is no blemish.” Gather all the years of your life, the bright and the bruised. Call out the accumulation of your years.
Breathing in…”I have acknowledged the past’s influence on the present.”
Breathing out…”I have walked through my past.” Breathing in…”I have healed into the present.” Breathing out…”Blessed is my life.”
GODDESS OF THE DAY: Ament- Egyptian Goddess of the Underworld, consort of Amun. Also called the Westerner, Hidden Goddess, Goddess with Beautiful Hair.
GOD OF THE DAY: Amun- Creator God, God of Fate, Fertility, Prophecy, Prosperity, Reproduction, Spells, and the Sun. Husband of Ament. Also called Hidden One, King of the Gods, Lord of Time, He Who Hears All Prayers. Often depicted as a bearded man wearing a double plume headdress, holding an ankh in his right hand and a scepter in his left. His sacred animals are the ram, the elephant, the falcon, the frog, the goose, the snake. His sacred colors are gold and saffron yellow. Gemstones sacred to Amun include amethyst, emerald, sapphire, and turquoise.
HERB OF THE DAY: Heliotrope- Heliotrope has masses of purple or white flowers and it smells like cherries, which earned it the folk name “cherry pie”. It grows about two feet high and blooms in Midsummer. It is a tender perennial and will only survive very mild climates. Its name comes from the Greek words helios which means “Sun” and trope which means “to turn”. That’s because the heliotrope flower will turn and face the sun as it crosses the sky. It attracts butterflies and bees. Magickally speaking, it brings wealth and prosperity. In the language of flowers, it indicates that one is “intoxicated with pleasure.”
GEMSTONE OF THE DAY: Ruby- the most valued gem among the Hindus, the ruby is considered the King of Gemstones. It is a stone of Mars and protects the warrior in battle, and makes the wearer feel invulnerable. It is thought to bring wealth and loyalty, banish melancholy, preserve physical and mental health, protect from all negativity, warm the body, and surround one with an aura of beauty. Some believe rubies actually darken when danger is approaching. In Indian lore from the 6th century BCE, the ruby was said to quiet excited passions and safeguard friendship.
POEM OF THE DAY: Silver Ravenwolf’s Pagan Pride Poem-
In the darkness you paint us, but we will not hide. We’re the light of the country in which you abide, We’re fearless and strong, the protectors of life, Hidden in shadows, we conquer all strife. We come from the Old Ones, our lineage secure. We rise from the ashes, we always endure. It’s time you remembered that we were here first. We healed your sick, yet suffered your worst. From time immemorial we’ve woven our lore, Cunning folk, healers, Benandanti- there’s more. We’re black and we’re white, we’re brown and we’re yellow. We’re women and children and mighty fine fellows. We’re her hidden children, the angels of light, Our task is to teach and to help set things right. We conjure and cast, and whisper and pray, So you can enjoy your freedom each day. We’ve long been your army, protecting your back, When you’re in trouble, in secret we act. The Mother is watching- she hasn’t missed much. She’s gathered Her magick and given the touch,
To Witches and Pagans and Druids and such! The times are a’changing and one thing is clear, The Lord and the Lady have now reappeared. Two pillars, three points, four quarters extend, Five is the number of magickal blend.
By moon and by sun, by earth and by stars, Realize this day that the power is ours! Pagan Pride- Live it , Breathe it, Be it.
